OhioProg 2012 will be held at the breathtaking Canton Palace Theatre in beautiful downtown Canton, Ohio. Located in the heart of the Arts District, this historic venue first opened its doors in 1926 and still contains much of the original furniture located in the foyer. The Theatre was designed by the noted Austrian born architect John Eberson of Chicago, who achieved fame during the 1920s through his creation of "atmospheric" theatres located in cities across the United States. It seats 1509 attendees, at capcity, with every seat providing a comfortable and glorious view of stage and scenery.

One of the most famous attractions of the Palace Theatre is the mighty Kilgen Pipe Organ. It was originally used to provide background music for the silent movies shown on the Palace Theatre screen. The Kilgen is one of only a few left in the country, and the only one that remains in its original home.

We are proud to call the Canton Palace Theatre home for OhioProg 2012. After many tours of this stunning venue, thedecsion was made to bring the eleven bands from five countries to the this Canton, Ohio location which will allow over a thousand fans come from near and far to see bands both familiar and new to the progressive rock festival circuit.

The Canton Palace Theatre is in a prime location for the festival. Within walking distance to a number of restaurants, retail shops, attractions and the main host hotel. Also just a short drive away from even more restaurants, retail shops, attractions and hotels, including a number of additional host hotels for the event. Nearby is Belden-Village and the Westfield Belden-Village mall, the Pro Football Hall of Fame & the Canton Art Museum just to name a few. We have provided dedicated sections to the OhioProg website to list these many amenities for your consideration.
